Abhineet, Senior Manager, Business Development – APAC, has been active in the remote sensing and photogrammetry industry for more than 22 years. He received a master’s degree in botany and did postgraduate research in remote sensing and forestry at the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Department of Space in Dehradun, India. He worked on the Indian Space Research Organization Geosphere and Biosphere Program focused on Investigation of Net Primary Productivity of the Dry Deciduous Forest in Central India. He has published nine research papers in various journals and Conference proceedings. Currently, Abhineet is leading the Sales Engineering and Business Development in the Asia-Pacific region for DigitalGlobe.
Amanda joined DigitalGlobe in 2011, working in Research and Development for four years on advanced exploitation techniques for multispectral imagery, before assuming the role of product marketing manager for DigitalGlobe International Defense and Intelligence Programs in 2015. Previously, she worked for eight years with the U.S. Department and Agriculture and various Defense and Intelligence agencies providing advanced geospatial and analytic support. Amanda is also dedicated to education and outreach on ways to leverage DigitalGlobe imagery, including appearances on the Discovery Science “What on Earth” series. She received her bachelor’s degree in earth science from George Mason University and a master’s degree in clinical mental health from Denver Seminary.
Andrew joined DigitalGlobe in 2009, and focuses on disaster management, geospatial monitoring strategies, and business intelligence. He has more than 10 years of experience conducting geospatial/remote sensing analysis. Andrew is based out of DigitalGlobe’s Tokyo office and serves as a sales engineer for the Asia-Pacific sales team. Andrew earned his bachelor’s degree in geology from Clark University, and studied geospatial intelligence at Penn State University.
Deke is the Senior Director of Product Management at DigitalGlobe, and joined the company in 2013 through the company’s combination with GeoEye, where he’d worked since 2006. He is responsible for product strategy across all DigitalGlobe offerings, and is focused on understanding the voice of the marketplace to ensure products provide value to customers. Deke has a bachelor’s degree in geology from Denison University, and a master’s in geology form the Colorado School of Mines.
Fabio joined DigitalGlobe in 2009, and currently serves as Principal Research & Development Scientist. He has more than 10 years of experience in industrial and academic research, developing remote sensing solutions and leading R&D teams. His research includes processing of remote sensing images, data fusion, feature extraction, pattern recognition, and analysis of multi-angular and multi-temporal data. Fabio received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in telecommunication engineering and a Ph.D. in geoinformation from University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy. From 2005 to 2009, he collaborated as Visiting Scientist with the Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences, University of Colorado Boulder.
Kathryn joined DigitalGlobe in August 2015 to lead strategic and financial planning across the portfolio of imagery products in the Commercial business. Prior to DigitalGlobe, Kathryn advised clients in the Aerospace, Defense, and Geospatial industries for a boutique management and strategy consulting firm based in Washington DC. She specialized in commercial market expansion strategy for companies traditionally focused on government customers—as well as Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) advisory for financial clients. She also previously worked as an Economic Analyst for the American Chamber of Commerce in Beijing, China. Kathryn holds a B.A. from New York University and a M.A. from Stanford University and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Orla is a Product Manager for the GBDX Platform. Previously, she worked at DuPont Switzerland where she led environmental stewardship and product management for sunflower, corn and canola. While at DuPont she saw firsthand the power of geospatial knowledge to inform decision making. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in ecology and evolutionary biology, and did research at Oak Ridge National Labs examining how global change impacts agricultural and natural ecosystems. She is incredibly passionate about leveraging geospatial knowledge to understand and mitigate the effects of environmental stress across the developed and developing world.
For more than 15 years, Peter has been a leader in spatial industry business development across Australia and New Zealand. A career in science, government, asset management, design and CAD integration has led to the current role, DigitalGlobe’s Regional Director for Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. This role has enabled innovative regional projects including: searching for flight MH370, food security in the Pacific and national mapping projects. Peter holds a bachelor’s degree in applied science and a master’s degree in information technology management.
As the Senior Manager of the Seeing a Better World Program at DigitalGlobe, Rhiannan works with global development partners worldwide to support their initiatives with geospatial data and technologies. This encompasses work in global health, food & nutrition security, environmental sustainability, human rights as well as other sectors. Prior to joining DigitalGlobe, she worked for several years in data management for international agriculture and has lived in Uganda, Tanzania, and Dominica. Rhiannan has a master’s degree in international human rights from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, politics and the public, and French from Xavier University.
