Hexagon Geospatial

The DigitalGlobe Foundation has partnered with Hexagon Geospatial, a global leader in remote-sensing software, to offer imagery grant award winners access to Hexagon’s software portfolio. This partnership enables grantees to conduct their research projects using robust tools and enhanced capabilities.

Hexagon Geospatial will provide one-on-one support to approved students and professors to determine the best software to use from the Power Portfolio and the M.App Portfolio, and the appropriate short-term project license.

Available software from Hexagon Geospatial:

  • GeoMedia
  • IMAGINE Photogrammetry
  • ImageStation
  • ERDAS Apollo
  • GeoMedia WebMap
  • M.App Chest
  • M.App Studio

Hexagon Geospatial solutions integrate sensors, software, domain knowledge and customer workflows into intelligent information ecosystems used in a broad range of industries to deliver actionable information.

Power Portfolio includes products that combine the best photogrammetry, remote sensing, GIS and cartography technologies. Flowing seamlessly from the desktop to server-based to mobile solutions, these technologies support data organization, automated geoprocessing, spatial data infrastructure, workflow optimization, web editing and web mapping.

M.App Portfolio is a cloud-based geospatial platform that can be used to design, build and host Hexagon Smart M.Apps and core geospatial web services for building geospatial cloud applications.

Hexagon Smart M.Apps are dynamic, interactive map applications that quickly and intuitively merge location and statistics backed by real-time data, and are available in the form of a simple app.

Academic users can join the Hexagon Geospatial U Community to discuss ideas and communicate with other geospatial professionals. Tutorials, presentations and example data are available to university educators.
